I suspect there's a little room for you to be more dickish about this person doing something nice. Please make more of an effort.

Very nicely done. May this be the start of a trend.

Speaking as a long-time Taylor Swift fan and as someone who has listened to and enjoyed John Luther Adams's Become Ocean multiple times (and as someone who not long ago would have confused him with that other classical composer John Adams), I can't tell you how thrilled I am to read this bit of news. I can't tell you how thrilled I am just to have an excuse to drop all these names in the same sentence.

It's a small world.

I also want to feel a little vindication against all the hipper-than-thou hipsters who have dismissed Taylor Swift and her musical relevance. With her songwriting skills, if she were an unknown indie artist from Portland, they'd be lapping her up. But well, wasn't that kinda the point of Ryan Adams doing a cover of her entire 1989 album?

What a wonderful gift! Thank you, Taylor! Perhaps the Symphony can finally replace the 15 year old polyester rags the usher staff has been forced to wear to absolute ribbons. They want to look more like a world class staff, but the funding just hasn't been available.

@4: Perhaps I can suggest dressing the entire orchestra in leprechaun-green sateen mini-dresses? It's sure working for Taylor.

Please wait...
