One thing that's stood out so far is how polished they all are by now. Hitting their points with a lot of focus and energy. I disagree with most of what they're saying, but if you're on their side, they're saying it the way you want to hear it.
Except Carson, who killed all the energy and rambled about ISIS hitting OFF on a giant light switch and then hitting us with a dirty bomb and isn't that scary? He's done.
The others are really getting into form, though. Even JEB!!
alright I'll go out on a limb and call it now. The Republican nominee for President will be Jeb Bush the Vice President nominee will be Marco Rubio.
Yeah yeah I hear all the noise that's coming about Trump n Cruz. And I agree they both did very well in tonight's debate. But they also lost tonight. Well Trump did.
Cruz....fuck.... ok Republicans might be that crazy.... ok lots of them are...fine most of them.... but they run towards shiny stuff.
Alright Fine all I've got is the Bush family history of pulling off shit in S. Carolina.
The only appropriate Bowie song to play during a GOP debate would be "I'm Afraid of Americans." I dare you to watch that and tell me it's not perfectly apropos.
Also, since Planned Parenthood was brought up (and i can't find the "SLOG Tip?" link), I'll mention that PP is going to sue those lying bastards over those videos. I hope they screw them to the wall.
@9 unlikely. What's going on now has nothing to do with rational thought, it who does well in debates or what policies are.
The GOP base has been lied to for decades. The establishment doesn't REALLY care about the things they do, such as gay marriage, and being racist and all that. The GOP establishment is a party based on one thing and one thing only: making the rich richer. They do this by cutting taxes on the wealthy, crushing unions, and deregulating everything.
But they have a numbers problem and so they need to beef up the numbers with another constituency; the racists and the religious wingnuts. They've played a careful game cultivating those votes, but of course not doing anything once in office. The base is finally on to the game. Trump and Cruz together make up like70% of the primary polling. Whichever one doesn't win will go to the other. An Establishment candidate like Bush or Rubio has absolutely no chance in hell.
@11 When Trump rambled about China, I had this nightmare vision of him putting on lipstick, naked, dancing to "China Girl." I need serious drugs and therapy (I mean, more than usual) now. My face was like your avatar.

Call me when they fuck up.

It's gonna be Jeb / Rubio on the Republican side.
I don't think that's a possibility, unless Jeb moves out of Florida. They can't be from the same state
