Nice digs on the superficial content of internet news sites, whilst employing a caption that criticizes the fashion choices of the only female frontrunner for the nomination of a major US party in history.
2
I think I'd forgot that Bernie Sanders is 74 years old, and turns 75 before Election Day. He's raising really good issues, but even Bernie knows that's too old to become President.

I know women live longer, but Hillary Clinton is 69, the same age as Reagan when he took office. Trump is 69, too - his orange combover hides his age like Reagan's dye job did.

You know who's the right age? Martin Fucking O'Malley, and fucknuts like Cruz and Paul.
3
@2: I thought agism was politically incorrect for progressive liberals.
4
Hillary was quite the liar last night, and I'm glad Martin O'Malley was around to call her out on some of that. I can't wait to vote for him in the primaries in 2020/2024 (unless Warren runs).

Do we really want honest politics? Is that even a question? I know you're sucking some major Hillary dick over there, but that's got to be the most asinine comment you've made yet.
5
@3: not if you're a realist about age. Clearly all 3 are competent now. but in 4 years? they could easily be dead.

my mom died at Clinton's age - she was gone in 6 months after diagnosis. Reagan was clearly senile in his 2nd term. I had the same critique of McCain though he's managed to totter along somehow.

both Sanders and Clinton are the wrong generation to be standing for this office.
6
@4: Warren is 66 now. That puts her at 70/74 in those years. Again, TOO OLD.

Kristen Gillibrand is 49. I wish she was running this time.
7
@6: shit, KIRSTEN, not Kristen. that's more embarrassing than any of you know.
8
pretty depressing that we have got to the point in america that we think honest politics is impossible.
9
@1 - Seriously.

Matt, please just stop it. It's not cute. I like your writing in general, but commenting on candidates' appearance is not necessary. There are enough conservatives holding Clinton's femininity against her without you piling on.
10
@9: next debate she should go up there in a dark blue suit with a white blouse and a flag pin. and never wear anything else ever again.
11
@9 - And the same deference should be afforded to Carly Firoinia's wardrobe choices as well.
12
@11 - Yes. Absolutely.

And while we're at it, Donald Trump's hair, Chris Christie's weight, and basically everything about everyone that has nothing to do with their qualifications to be president.

I think it was Cecily Strong at the White House Correspondents' Dinner who made them all vow "I solemnly swear not to talk about Hillary's appearance, because that is not journalism."
13
And I actually liked that suit.
14
@12: I think Trump's ridiculous hair and Christie's Morbid Obesity are salient to their qualifications.

Hillary's wardrobe is not. She's no Christine Lagarde, but she's among the better dressed female pols, frankly.
15
We've entered Fox News territory with that caption.
16
Thank you, @1 and @9. I'm thinking this time MB's gendered fashion comment was intentional?
17
@16: No, it's in his DNA.
18
@14 - I'm not sure I follow you. How is Trump's hair relevant to anything about the job? Can people really not find anything worse than fatness to call out Chris Christie for? Entire books could be written on what's wrong with Donald Trump without any pictures at all, and I know a retired New Jersey schoolteacher who has some strong words for Governor Christie, and none of them are "fat".

Working link for those who care to read that article on Bernie's tax plan. It's supposed to go to Vox. (link)

Don't forget to mention Clinton's clothing choices! Heaven knows that's important.

Please wait...
