It's several years into the zombie apocalypse. These folks know all about how bites can kill. So why are they still running around in T-shirts and such? Why not riot gear, Kevlar, leathers, and duct-tape-reinforced denim? Sheesh. And why the fuck did Maggie need rescued from the rickety platform when (1) she seemed perfectly mobile on her own and (2) there was a more stable part of the fence and walkway nearby? And why the hell did people leave the safety of their homes to fight back with Rick's suicide mission? Ridiculous. All of these people deserve to be eaten alive!

@1, stupidity is pretty much a necessary trope of the zombie genre. The fact is that zombies are pretty easy to deal with, with a modicum of intelligence (at least the zombie of TWD universe). However if characters started using their brains for something other than zombie chow, the zombie survivalist genre would be pretty boring.

All of that bring said, I have to admit that the walking dead, even though I still love it, has painted itself into a corner, and it doesn't really feel like there's much it can do that isn't a rehash of other storylines.

I've really come around to Z Nation though. I love it's b movie approach to the genre. If you're gonna be implausible, at least make it funny.

@2: Yeah, we've pretty much seen the two main threats in the TWD universe: zombie hordes and malicious humans. TWD has shown us these threats time and again. Not sure what they could show us that we haven't seen before.

@2: Convenient stupidity is more charismatic than convenient rocket launcher

This is what I call the "Gilligan Island" scenario. Ya I know Gilligan and Co. finally got of the Island but it is the years of not getting anywhere because someone or something gets fucked up ALL THE TIME that made that show frustrating to watch after awhile.
This episode delivered what viewers wanted SOME ASS KICKIN. But ass kickin is just like Heroin it fixes you for awhile because it carries the illusion of being AWESOME, a distraction but then you are back to the predicament. Where is this show going? It's like everyone never gets off the Island over and over.
Where do they all get to go eventually that is 100% safe?
An Island?

Please wait...
