Not surprising.

At one time I owned over 200 issues of Archie comics plus many of it's descendants. When I was 16 I traded them for 50 Penthouses from the early 70s.

Ever since I associate Betty & Veronica with porn.

The iPhone comment was funny. I think that I would prefer to buy actual novels though. Give me something with a little bit more substance.

As a more expensive gift, for those who appreciate the finer things in life, I highly recommend a DVD of the movie Frankenhooker, whose name says it all.

Half price books is a wonderful resource for cheap gifts. My most notable purchase was "Jesus Weed." It surprised me when it turned out to be a decently insightful story about a man who travelled all over the world to find out what god meant to him through religion and greenery.

Just a reminder-- all the major indie bookstores in Seattle carry a strong selection of used books... Just sayin. And they're staying open as late as they can in this pretty--yet harmful to boookstores--weather.

I have got a lot of good books at Goodwill. Hardbacks for under $3 each. In the past year I have managed to complete my Stephen King collection.

The Value Village in Lake City has a really nice book section. They have lots of CD's and DVD's too. Cheap.

I found a Jack Chick tract on the street the other day. Hilarious!

I like the one where the Devil inspires Catholics to translate the Bible.
