Little, Brown has announced that Stephenie Meyer is publishing a new Twilight-related novella on June 5th. It's a part of the story of the Twilight series, told from the point of view of a minor character. Meyer's note on the book, which is about as well-written as anything else she writes, is over here.

The most interesting part of the book is its release strategy. $1 from every book sold will go to the Red Cross, but readers will also be able to read the book for free on a website from June 7th until July 5th. This is weird for Meyer, who famously scuttled an entire book (one that also looked at the Twilight series from a different point of view) because its opening chapters were leaked onto the internet.
