It's nice that Amazon gave back something, but considering the profits the company is raking in, they really rank near the bottom of NW corporate citizens. I'll be much more impressed if this is the beginning of a comprehensive plan to begin stepping up to their responsibilities as a major corporate citizen.
Seriously. if you are going to be spending your time going after corporations, Amazon should be toward the bottom of your list. May I suggest some HMOs or military contractors, etc etc.Get some perspective Smartypants.
Amazon, as with every other corporation on earth, has absolutely zero obligation to "give" anything back to anyone other than its shareholders. That they donated money to something as progressive as LLF is commendable. I mean, think of it this way: Someone who bought a Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin book through Amazon inadvertently contributed some of their money to this donation. That is some rich delicious irony right there.
