And Steve Almond reads at Third Place Books tonight. The Candy Freak author reads from Rock and Roll Will Save Your Life: A Book by and for the Fanatics Among Us (with Bitchin’ Soundtrack). There are two things about the title of this book that make me want to drive hot splinters into my own eyes: The "will save your life" construction is tired, and the "bitching' soundtrack" part is just, you know, gag.
