Three readings tonight.

If you fantasize about food, you'll probably wind up going to see Georgia Pellegrini at Elliott Bay Book Company. Pellegrini is in town for the painfully named International Food Bloggers Conference. Her book is titled Food Heroes; Sixteen Culinary Artisans Preserving Tradition. I think the word "heroes" has been completely devalued as of right now.

If you fantasize about moving to France, Third Place Books is hosting Shawn Underwood. Mommy, Are We French Yet?: Tales of an American Family Living in France is a book that was published nine years after Adam Gopnick's very good book about moving to France, From Paris to the Moon.

And if you fantasize about fantasy, University Book Store is your destination. Black Prism is the first book in the Black Prism fantasy series by Brent Weeks. It is a horse-choker of a book. Weeks will be in attendance to read and discuss the book.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
