We have a few open mics and three readings tonight.

Peter Lewis reads at Seattle Mystery Bookshop at noon. Dead in the Dregs is a debut novel about a wine critic who is found dead in a vat of wine. That kind of goes beyond "poetic justice" into the realm of "heavy-handed literalism."

Third Place Books hosts Krishna Devine and Jessica G. Hill. Why He's My Ex is a book about how men are real pigs. Right, ladies? Eh? (Oh, wait. Yeah we are. Sorry.)

And S. M. Stirling reads at University Book Store tonight. Stirling is a popular science fiction novelist. High King of Montival: A Novel of the Change is the fourth entry in the Emberverse series. I guarantee you that somebody out there is planning their whole day around this event.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
