There's a ton of events tonight, including open mic nights, a book about a frozen pilot, and much more.

Let's start with the non-traditional readings events. Up at Third Place Books Ravenna, it's time for History Café. This is a discussion about "diverse interpretations of local history" and an expert will "provide tips on how we sift fact from fiction." If you want something more literary, Pilot Books is hosting the OPP Reading Series, which is a reading where people read works written by other people. It's a place for you to share writing you particularly enjoy, which is a neat idea.

We have a couple of issues-based readings. Town Hall hosts Robert Glennon tonight. His book Unquenchable: America's Water Crisis and What To Do About It is about "the U.S.'s profligate water use." And at Kane Hall, there's a seminar titled "Ecological Design For Healthy Cities."

Elliott Bay Book Company hosts Chase Jarvis tonight. The well-known photographer with a cool name will present new work from his book Seattle 100: Portrait of a City. Harold McGee reads at University Book Store. The Keys to Good Cooking: A Guide to Making the Best of Foods and Recipes looks at the science of cooking. And at Open Books, Kazim Ali and Sarah Vap will read. Bright Felon is a non-fiction book of very brief travel essays written by Ali, who is a poet.

The big-name event tonight is at Town Hall. Popular humorist Nora Ephron reads from her new book of essays, I Remember Nothing. Ephron will be at the Sorrento for a fancy-pants reception before this reading. If you want to learn more about the reception, go to this website.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
