Unless you're going to The Official Twilight Saga Fan Convention at the Westin this weekend—and if you are, I would strongly urge you to read The Hunger Games trilogy when you have a chance, because you should read a book about a strong female protagonist—there's not so much going on in the book world this weekend.

The two most interesting events are on Sunday. At Pilot Books at noon, they're having something called "Research Club Brunch II." This is "a free brunch for organizers, thinkers, agitators, artists, and otherwise brilliant members of the Seattle community." You can bring a vegetarian brunch dish if you'd like to help out with the potluck.

And the delightful Ada's Technical Books is hosting Michelle Bates at 4 pm on Sunday. Bates is the author of Plastic Cameras, which is a book about non-digital, non-traditional photography. If you haven't been to Ada's and you are into science, you are totally missing out.

But there are plenty of other events going on this weekend; if you want to see a complete list, I'd urge you to check out our readings calendar.
