2. But! Up at Open Books in Wallingford, beloved local poet Frances McCue will be reading from her new book The Bled. It's about the death of McCue's husband on a trip to Morocco, and it's about what it feels like, as Rebecca Brown so aptly put it, "to be knocked around by death and grief." If you haven't yet read McCue's poetry, you should start with these two. This one is the reading of the night.
3. But! There's a second great poetry reading for you to consider, too: Los Angeles poet Chiwan Choi will be reading and discussing poetry with awesome local poet Don Mee Choi (author of The Morning News is Exciting) at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. If McCue weren't reading across town, this would easily be the reading of the night.
4. There's more good stuff going on tonight, too! Find out about it in the reading calendar.
