Thanks for the great review! The whole team at Board and Vellum (http://www.boardandvellum.com) has loved designing this space and getting to work with a truly incredible client and construction team from Model Remodel (http://www.modelremodel.com). I hope everyone comes out this Saturday at noon for the grand re-opening!

Looks fantastic! I'm guessing the first year of the remodel was just vacuuming the cat hair and dander out of every corner. It's funny, it's a very new and modern space, but I can see the old Horizon space still there. I spent something like 1,000 hours in that old store. Can't wait to see the new one.
I used to buy old, cracked paperback copies of James Bond books at Horizon when I was a kid. It's kind of sad that another of the old used bookstores is gone (I know it's been a while), but I can't think of a better replacement. I'm really looking forward to checking Ada's out, especially going there with my daughters to the kid's section!
I stopped in recently and was met by friendly staff and a stunning interior (a rare combo). Ada's Books is another one of the things that makes 15th Ave East a little gem of an area.
