Lorrie Moore comes to Seattle only twice a decade or so. The last time she was here, it was for her very good novel A Gate at the Stairs in 2009, and she wowed the audience with her Midwestern geniality and her casual brilliance. Now Moore’s coming to town with a short-story collection, Bark. Moore’s a good novelist, but she’s one of the top five short-story authors in the country, which means that if you go to only one Lorrie Moore event this decade, it should be this one.
