Having read a few chapters I feel that I am able to echo Mr. Mudede's praise. However, his article, I must say, takes some liberties. Piketty is hardly an unknown. As for the writing style, it is plain, but rather _elegant_ and speckled with literary and cultural references. The translation very ably captures his French style (of which I've read a few excerpts). To place Piketty's book of economic analysis in the company of Foucault (who wrote philosophy disguised as history) and Deleuze (who seemed to delight in obscurantism) is simply bizarre.
