What makes it an "adult" spelling bee, other than setting it in a bar? Howzabout either (a) an all-ages venue - maybe with awards for best overall + best under-18 speller, or (b) STRIP SPELLING-BEE! With a sudden-death final round involving shots! See, e.g., c-o-n-c-u-p-i-s-c-e-n-c-e, l-a-s-c-i-v-io-u-s-n-e-s-s, and i-n-e-b-r-i-e-t-y.

i always wanted to go to the seattle spelling bee, but chickened out - and i got your emails about the ones you were trying to do at unicorn but i tend to avoid the pike/pine areas at night these days.
any chance of trying it somewhere else?
