2 quick corrections: GotG was on the puppy slate and won, although one must suspect that was unrelated. Rule changes must be passed at two Worldcon before taking effect, so the EPH and 4/6 changes won't happen unless they pass at the business meeting in Kansas City next year.
Also, you didn't deliniate the sad puppy contingent from the rabid puppies, but since there was so little daylight between them, one can understand.
And now some long-winded rants about how, technically, the spanking of the Sad Puppies was technically a victory for them, while MRA posters quietly, tearfully delete the victory speeches they hoped to post on the internet. HAHAHA SPANK SPANK SPANK! Breathe deeply from the SJW victory farts as they fill your mouths. Big stinky farts of social justice. Are those tears from the acrid fart clouds filling vanquished eyes, or just tears of sadness?
@4 (and myself)There it is: "The number of major categories in which no awards were given “demonstrates the extent to which science fiction has been politicized and degraded by their far left politics,” http://www.wired.com/2015/08/won-science… Says the guy orchestrated the politicization of the awards.
Puppies did indeed lose, but not before they managed to trash some of the lesser known voting categories with their slates; Novellas, Short Stories, Editors etc. No Award stopped the sad puppies cold, but also took out the few legitimate nominees in those categories.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a white dude. We have all the privileges in this country. The least you could do is not be dicks about it. *sigh*
Glad to see that they were (mostly) shut out.
This is just really, really good news. The kind you're surprised to even get any more these days.
Freedom wins again!
