The shocking things in her book that she didn't talk about in her campaign.

Her Seattle events are sold out—so pull whatever strings you can! Barbara Kinney

I remember yelling at the TV during both interviews.
3
I remember being upset with Mrs. Clinton over the email server, in retrospect that's astonishing.
4
Why is it most RWNJ's online (cit ref @1) always seem to sound like 12 year-olds trying desperately to pass themselves off as adults - and failing pathetically?
5
@3

Your idiocy then calls into question your judgment now and forever.
6
Clinton chose not to make her gender the centerpiece of her campaign in the same way Obama chose not to make race the centerpiece of his. The reason his approach worked and hers didn’t will take decades to fully unpack.
8
Did she talk about how she attacked and lied about the women Bill preyed upon?
She could probably shed a lot of light on what it feels like to be an enabler.
10
She should have been a better victim. Got it.
11
Article: she screwed up on this.
Troll: you think she can do no wrong lol.
12
Are we still talking about Hillary? Lets do this shit, I love it. Brings out the best in people. Nonstop John Kerry Talk shot Obama right into the Whitehouse.
13
@6: Decades to unpack? Let me try real quick: "Charisma." Damn, that was fast.

Also, she said that one of her merits and a reason people should vote for her was that she was a woman, so she definitely was unafraid to make gender a part of her campaign.
14
I was hoping there would be some mention of the Clinton campaign working with Harvey Weinstein, but I guess The Stranger still won't acknowledge that one.
15
@13: Yes, the first woman to ever be a major party presidential nominee and who won a majority of votes in a swing election going the wrong direction has no charisma. Perfect, thanks for enlightening us.

Also, I never said gender wasn't a part of her campaign, it just wasn't something she wanted to spend too much time talking about, in the same way Barack didn't want to make his race a central aspect of his candidacy. Most of the time, when Barack talked about race or Clinton talked about gender, it's because they were asked specifically about those things for the millionth time by some media jackal trying to build a "narrative."
16
@14 I was hoping you'd acknowledge the 16 women who have come forward with their stories of Trump criminal serial sexual assaults (not including the gag orders from settlement cases) that he bragged about on video tape.

But I guess festering shit bags like you Tump Trolls still won't acknowledge that one.
17
@16: I'm very obviously not a Trump supporter, and a cursory look at my previous comments would prove it. I'm just not a fan of situational feminists, political bullshit artists, and their loud, low-information supporters.

Like Sydney Brownstone said yesterday, if the Democratic Party knows that there's a sexual harasser/assaulter/rapist in their midst and they do nothing about it, it makes them worse than the Republicans. Hillary is married to one and worked closely with another - a wealthy man who was openly known to rape and assault women - and still expects to be seen as a feminist. This type of obvious fraudulence isn't going to help the Democratic Party win back the independents they need in 2018.
18
@15 Michelle Obama, a woman, has charisma. Hillary Clinton, also a woman, does not have charisma. Just because you're the first at something doesn't mean that you must have some unattributed trait along with it. To assert so is childish.
19
@15 "it just wasn't something she wanted to spend too much time talking about, in the same way Barack didn't want to make his race a central aspect of his candidacy."

She literally built a glass ceiling for election day for the sole purpose of "breaking" it. Time to come to reality.
20
Here's hoping the Democrats can do an eleven-months-and-counting LONG overdue turnover in 2018. I'll definitely be voting. ITMFA!
@18: I'm surprised Michelle Obama hasn't considered running for 2020.

There is one big problem with this article: Harvey Weinstein.

If Hillary Rodham Clinton were President, she would be receiving a huge amount of flak about her relationship with Harvey Weinstein. Allegedly she was warned about his behavior, but continue to do fundraisers sponsored by him. If she express outrage about sexual harassment or sexual assaults by men in the workplace, she would had her words thrown back at her for the long friendship she has had with Weinstein.

Ditto that President Clinton did his own sexual harassment, and punishment of Monica Lewinsky, by transferring out of the White House to the Pentagon, and then forcing her to write an affidavit that got her in serious legal trouble..

How HRC has handled the Harvey Weinstein scandal, has been arrogant to deflecting. Her answer is more "Not my problem", and shocked. She was allegedly warned, and his behavior was an open secret in Hollywood. She had an ongoing business negotiations with Weinstein until late September of this year..

Matt Lauer is a creep, and before crying "unfair" about his weird fixation with women during interviews, but Hillary Rodham Clinton would had big problems with the #MeToo movement, given the problems with former President Clinton, and Harvey Weinstein..
23
"Hillary Clinton, also a woman, does not have charisma"

Actually, Hillary Rodham Clinton does have charisma, she wouldn't get as far as she did without charisma. She inspired a lot of people, and she has a loyal circle of friends and underlings, What she doesn't have at times is good political skills, or she can be political tone deaf. The email server problem is one, how she ran both her 2008 and 2016 campaign were another..

As much as President Trump looks a little like Jabba the Hutt with a fake orange tan, he does have charisma, he may not for you or me, but he does inspire people, and can persuade people, even they lack adequate brain capacity..

24
@20 Under normal circumstances we'd all say she doesn't have enough administrative experience but, unfortunately, we're not under normal circumstances.

@23 I'd argue that she still lacks a significant amount of charisma comparable to most other national figures. There have been plenty of times individuals have reached for the presidency who lacked a large sum of charisma. Nixon's debate with JFK comes to mind. If you weren't one of the Hillary bots while watching the debates, she often came off as gringy and haphazard despite debating alongside a loon.

Just because she has a cult like following who couldn't see anything wrong with her doesn't mean she doesn't lack charisma. Brendan Frasier has a cult following.
25
Did she talk about how she attacked and lied about the women Bill preyed upon?

Hey, bitter Bernie-bro, have you any evidence Bill Clinton ever "preyed upon" anyone? He had a woman half his age aggressively pursue him for sex. Does that sound like a guy who'd need to "prey" upon anyone?

Why are facts not ever your friend?
26
@25
"He had a woman half his age aggressively pursue him for sex."

True, but he also asked that women to file a false affidavit to get him out of lawsuit, (the Paula Jones idiocy, which was dismissed by a Federal Judge, which made Clinton pressuring Lewinsky to file the false affidavit unnecessary) How Monica Lewinsky was treated before she was legally bludgeoned by Ken Starr is workplace harassment.

I think Hillary Rodham Clinton was treated badly during the 2016 Election Campaign. The Comey letter played a part in her defeat, but she also did many self inflicted errors on her own. If she were President now, the flak from just Harvey Weinstein friendship would be huge, let alone the spotlight on her husband and his actions...
27
@23 " I'd argue that she still lacks a significant amount of charisma comparable to most other national figures."

Like Whom? Because a person loses the US Presidential Contest, means they don't have charisma.. Hillary doesn't have a cult like following. What you are seeing, is women fighting back and becoming a huge political force. One of the main reasons that Al Franken resigned. His caucus is largely made up women and it will continue to grow.

A cult like following would ask Hillary to run again in 2020. Besides, most cult leaders are charismatic.. ditto with many financial fraudsters.

Defending either Clinton has always been morally reprehensible,
however it is now becoming politically expensive,
even on The Left.
Arc of the Moral Universe and all.
Catch up.
30
@28: Being an embittered Bernie-bro means never having to say you're wrong.

...however it is now becoming politically expensive,

I've been hearing that one for twenty-plus years. And yet the Clintons just keep on thriving. And the liberal-left agenda rolls onwards -- gay rights, higher minimum wage, gay marriage, legal cannabis, second gay mayor in a row for Seattle -- as if there was no downside to supporting the Clintons. None.

Why are facts never your friend?
31
@25 See, this is an issue with nominating Hillary. Bill has his own rape accusers and many people, including myself, don't want to deny their stories. And certainly while Hillary herself hasn't raped anyone, being married to someone who potentially has while running against someone who is a potential rapist really muddied the waters when Trumps groping comments came out. The, "she's just the wife", arguments could only go so far and the entire ordeal did create a, "they're both just as bad", situation that wouldn't have existed with another candidate. At least on that particular issue.
32
@27 I mentioned Nixon and I'll throw in Goldwater and Mitch McConnell as comparably uncharasmatic like Hillary and add Trump, Obama, Bill, Biden, GWB (even though he acted like an idiot, he was charming), and Paul Ryan to the list who are much more charismatic than she is.

"Hillary doesn't have a cult like following."

What world are you living in? We have articles on Buzzfeed with the first comments being Bernie is evil and Hillary is good despite nobody even denigrating her in the comments section. We called these people PUMAS in 2008 and had Palin not been as stupid as she was, they were voicing that they'd vote McCain because of Obama's nomination. They're also the same people who brought up the, "Obama is a muslim", trope in tbe primaries. Jesus Christ, we have a person in here still defending her husband's less than stellar behavior! She could choke a baby to death and they'd argue she's fighting for feminism.

"What you are seeing, is women fighting back"

No, I'm talking about the women who argued female Bernie supporters were voting with their boyfriends and that they didn't understand feminism. I'm talking about women who voted purely on the grounds of sex and race and having someone who looked like them in the White House (old, white, and female).

"A cult like following would ask Hillary to run again in 2020"

And I have a bad feeling that might just happen.

"most cult leaders are charismatic."

Yes, *most*.
33
@29 Hopefully soon. Just because your neighbor has expenses doesn't mean you don't have any.

@30 "And yet the Clintons just keep on thriving"

She lost in 2008 and Trump is now our president.

"And the liberal-left agenda rolls onwards... as if there was no downside to supporting the Clintons. None."

Do you have your head in the sand? The things that happen in Seattle do not make up for the damage Trump is causing because Hillary was our nominee! See, this is the cult following I'm talking about. Probably someone who won't have to suffer through the next 60 years of damage Trump is causing.
34
The things that happen in Seattle do not make up for the damage Trump is causing because Hillary was our nominee!

Hillary wasn't my nominee, and the things that happen in Washington state affect me far more than whatever happens in the other Washington. If the electoral vote had gone the way of the popular vote, it would be all Republican investigations of her, all of the time, and she'd still be pursuing some policies you hate. You could benefit from a bit of perspective.

Bill has his own rape accusers and many people, including myself, don't want to deny their stories.

He was sued, impeached, and investigated. Nothing was found. A woman half his age pursued him aggressively for sex, and did his bidding. During his lawsuit, most of the women called by the plaintiff testified to his respectful behavior. Does this sound like a guy who made unwanted advances?

At what point does a total lack of evidence actually mean something?
35
Yawn! At Elliot Bay Books December 12th at 12 pm. People who can’t afford it can’t come. (And who do we blame for that!)
36
@35: Hillary's continued popularity amongst people with good jobs really bothers you, doesn't it?

I mean, everyone you ever talk at (or occasionally listen to) agrees with you that she's a washed-up loser, right?
37
@36
I love how Lefties wage class war right up until they start losing, then they neurotically cite support among the college educated, upper middle class...it's almost as if they have a bit of an inferiority complex and a hatred of the poor just like their so-called political enemies.

It ain't punching down if a liberal does it!
38
"Hillary's continued popularity amongst people with good jobs really bothers you, doesn't it?" Her affair with the banksters is what still gets my goat.

OMG -- think the damn DNC's gonna install her -- again?!

Please wait...
