Someone for once in this millennium write a fucking book that is not a pretentious goddamn "coming of age story". Surely if you feel the higher calling to be a WRITER you can come up with some better goddamn inspiration than "I am getting pubic hair and the other sex is scary!" or "This is my struggle with menstrual cramps set against the background of the Gulf War!" or "That bully pushed me!"

Every human on the planet is a coming of age story. It is boring. It is overdone. Played out subject matter. Quite simply: your coming of age story is and will always be unremarkable. You need to come up with a new idea ALL OF YOU.
