If Midnight's Children don't have any money, and everyone else is pretty much willing to cut off a leg to get away from Snake People talking about themselves, then who is going to buy this book?

"When older generations portray Millennials as stunted, they fail to appreciate the profound uncertainty of the world that Millennials inherited."

When Millennials act like they are the first generation to experience uncertainty, they fail to appreciate history.

You think other adults haven't lived with uncertainty? Try the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War (nuclear bomb drills, anyone?) assassinations, the Vietnam War, Kent State shootings, race riots, 1970s energy crisis/stagflation, Three Mile Island (how many youngsters know about that terrifying crisis?), the early-80s recession, the early-90s recession, the Oklahoma City bombing, and, and and ...

Watch the documentary "The Seventies" on Netflix -- it'll help you gain a perspective on just how scary the world was for the people who came before you. (And after that, you can watch "The Eighties" and laugh at our ridiculous hair.)

Also, there was the looming threat of nuclear war in the 80s. Like, we were doing drills at school, which is LOL-tastic in retrospect.
