I think Alan's serialized novel was spelled "The Heart of the Raining Queen." And he's mistaken--Elliott Bay Books was around when he wrote for the Weekly. We had a standing trade-ad line of credit for a while, so writers could just walk in and pick up whatever they wanted (within reason). It was paradise!
