I'm sure she is as charming in person as she comes off in the interview, but having read two of her previous books - *they just don't hold together*. I read a fair bit of non-fiction, and her books are typically loose collections of titillating anecdotes held together by her narrative voice.
So, compared to Pollan, Gladwell, or even Ronson, she's just not worth my time to read. Though I guess she'd be fun at a cocktail party.
