Your right. Intruder tends to be a boys club and that is a problem we need to be more conscious of. We do invite women to contribute, but obviously not enough. We really don't have an excuse, considering the huge talent pool we have to draw from in town.
Always got a hater. Yes, there definately needs to be a well rounded representation of genders, ethnicities, cultures, religions....etc, but can we just take our foot off the PC equity pedal for a moment and celebrate the return of Seattle's comic scene? Nuff said.
Though she wasn't acknowledged this time around, Brittany Kusa has a page in this issue and previous women contributors were Eroyn Franklin, Alexa Koenings, and Nikki Burch. Let the editor do his job - this paper is about dark comedy, gross-out humor, fantasy - when a woman artist makes work that would fit, and wants to be in this newspaper, then it will be so.
