FRONT OF BOOK Letters: See News.... Last Days: Didn't read....
NEWS I find it odd that
The Stranger has chosen to take its competitor, the
Seattle Weekly, to task on inaccuracies in one of the
Weekly's stories (and rather severely so) the very same week that
The Stranger's letters section contains a correction apologizing for its own stunning blunder in last week's issue. Once again
The Stranger's editors seem ignorant of the fact that they reside in a rather large glass house even as they continually lob stones at their opponents....
SHORT FEATURE See Feature....
FEATURE Due to its subject matter (the monorail--surprise, surprise), I was unable to muster both the interest and energy to read both the feature and short feature in their entireties. I suspect most of
The Stranger's readers will find themselves in the same position....
FILM The Movie Review Revue is a welcome new feature for the paper. Perhaps now
The Stranger will give the cinematic arts proper coverage?....
BOOKS Didn't read....
ART Skimmed....
THEATER The promotion of David Schmader to performance editor is perhaps the smartest move
The Stranger has made under Dan Savage's inept tenure as "editor"....
CHOW Didn't read....
MUSIC Three fairly smart, well-written articles that are unfortunately soiled by two rather self-obsessed, long-winded pieces by Sean Nelson and Bradley Steinbacher. Perhaps Nelson and Steinbacher should start their own publication entitled
Dimwitted Pomposity?....
ETC. It's My Party: Didn't read.... Celeb I Saw U: Too gay.... I Love TV: Didn't read.... Savage Love: Didn't read.... Obits: Didn't read.
