FRONT OF BOOK Letters: A half page, though given this issue's rather minor size, this shouldn't be surprising.... Last Days: Bless you, David Schmader.... NEWS A spectacularly dull section this week. I reiterate: spectacularly dull. Has Josh Feit not returned from his holiday journeys? Or is he, like so many other Stranger editors and writers, merely "phoning it in"?... FEATURE A rather long, fairly insightful/intelligent article. I cannot be the only "reader" who has noticed that The Stranger's best pieces are routinely delivered by non-personnel. This begs the question: Does The Stranger really need an editorial staff?... FILM Didn't read.... BOOKS Proof that no section in The Stranger is safe from the soiling of Dan Savage's insipid opinions, to wit: Just why does Mr. Savage feel the need to attack one of his own writer's opinions--an opinion he undoubtedly solicited in the first place--in the very same issue?... ART Didn't read (and I'm fairly certain I am not the only one).... THEATER Again: Bless you, David Schmader.... FOOD Min Liao actually disapproves of an eatery. I, and no doubt many others, am left flabbergasted.... MUSIC A long article on the closing of a local club called I-Spy that is little more than a re-tread of a news article found in this very same issue. Do members of The Stranger's editorial staff even converse with one another? (On a related note, see my comments regarding the Feature).... ETC. It's My Party: None.... I Love TV: (See Savage Love).... Control Tower: Didn't read.... Savage Love: (See Celeb I Saw U).... Celeb I Saw U: Gayous extremus....
