FRONT OF BOOK Letters: Apparently believing he has yet to alienate enough readers, Dan Savage again "spices up" the letters page with petty, snide retorts.... Last Days: Excellent, as usual.... NEWS Note to Josh Feit: Just because you find your own section "smart, energetic, and influential" does not mean those of us who have to read it find it the same.... FEATURE Little more than insipid fluff disguised as a "Special Report," this graphic-heavy feature seems better suited for a publication such as Maxim or an equally juvenile venture.... THEATER Didn't read.... BOOKS A major conflict of interest this week, as an endeavor that Stranger Books Editor Charles Mudede takes part in is given glowing words.... ART Didn't read.... FOOD Also didn't read.... MUSIC A fairly well-rounded section this week. Largely unreadable, but well-rounded nonetheless.... FILM Just one week after Dan Savage boasted about The Stranger's "adult readership," and how said readership allows for the paper to ignore entertainment/art geared toward children, Bradley Steinbacher spends some 600 words praising a children's film. Do Mr. Savage and Mr. Steinbacher no longer communicate? Does Mr. Steinbacher no longer read the paper that employs him? If so, he should consider it a step in the right direction.... ETC. Nightstand: Didn't read.... It's My Party: Also didn't read.... Live Wire: Didn't read this as well.... Erasing Hours: Missing this week.... Savage Love: Awful. Just awful.... I Love TV: Wm. Steven Humphrey squanders his word count flogging that massively dead comedic horse known as the French.... Control Tower: Didn't read.... Celebrity I Saw U: Too gay....
