I read this column while riding on a train from Shanghai to Beijing this evening. When I got to the ending of SOHO's story I think I may have passed egg nog through my own nose. All of the Chinese on the train wondered what made the crazy laowai spit his cookies. My wife (also Chinese) wanted an explanation, but how can I corrupt my poor little innocent Lu Yao?
