JF's comment illuminates a problem among activists and alternative lifestyle types. Holier-than-though attitudes get us nowhere. It is just another way to divide people with interests aligned against oppression, to keep us from acting towards our common interests.

Remember ten years ago, when unions, enviros, and global justice activists came together to shut down the WTO ministerial conference? I don't give a fuck whether I work with obese folks or vegan folks, enviros or unions, or whatever divisively-labeled-group, if we agree the elites fucking the planet need to be stopped.
