Paul Rosolie on the motivation for his snake stunt: "I've seen firsthand how the Amazon rainforest is being destroyed. People need to wake up to what's going on. What better way to shock people than to put my life on the line with the largest snake on the planet, the green anaconda?"

I must say Mr. Rosolie's motives are really quite admirable. I understand that the Discovery Channel's next special is going to feature Bill Cosby venturing into the deepest reaches of the Amazon rainforest and drugging and raping the indigenous women there, and all to call attention to the plight of the Amazon.

I am just so heartened to see people finally taking action to save our planet.
