I'm no "expert" but, reading from past news reports, "420" started as a euphemism for smoking pot after school at San Rafael High School, in Marin county, California... "420" because once classes were out for the day, that was the time people arrived at their favorite smoking place, at 4:20 p.m. It went on from there, via connections with rock bands, etc.

David and everyone: Do you know if William and Kate officially named their new princess yet (born Saturday, May 2nd at about 8:30am in West London)?
However delighted the majority of British Royals and the world are or may be (there were reports of Kate, in particular, hoping for a girl), Prince George didn't look too happy (on Yahoo) about gaining a little sister. Will George become a Terrible Two Year Old? Can the baby be saved? I guess we'll find out next Wednesday!
