I think I'd let it slide. It was the winter of '08-'09 that we had that huge snow storm, right? With like, a foot of snow, just before xmess? Plausible the water would be freezing.

The hospital just released an addict who overdosed? Our mental health and substance abuse treatment system sucks so bad. It is amazing to me that the people who are able to get decent treatment are people who are able to hold a steady job or have a family support system. But if you can't function well enough to hold a job that will get you insurance and don't have family members able to help you out (which means you have the most severe problems) then you are completely fucked.

@6 "Icy-very cold". When you read the words "icy wind", do you think the wind is literally frozen? I can think of many times in which Green Lake has been very cold. Icy even. In the early summer even.

@17 sometimes instead of calling your emergency contacts, Overlake Hospital just puts you in a cab to Seattle's downtown emergency shelter! Which is really helpful if you're psychotic.

But then, they are in soulless Bellevue.

@6 -- water doesn't have to be 32F for you to die of hypothermia in it. Maybe he was describing how it felt instead of taking a scientifically accurate & verifiable measurement of the temperature.
