Let's take a moment to really appreciate the nurses (for it was surely nurses) who cleaned up and continue do daily dressing changes on that man. People tend to regard nurses as overpaid but it is a physically and emotionally difficult job.

@3 - Your reading comprehension needs a little work. The guy died. Hopefully, there are no nurses changing his dressings.
