Wait, so the owner of a dildo store says you should throw away your old dildos and buy new ones? Colour me surprised.

They should start with green Sex toys thats the way to go I think.

Lesbian sex toys get "suffused with energy" but everybody else's don't? Yeesh! A good washing with soap and hot water ought to take care of it.

Us straight folks clean out the toybox after a break-up too.

There is a company in Portland, OR, Scarlet Girl, that has a sex toy recycling program. They dismantle the toys and recycle the components, and you get a $10 voucher. You can find more info at ScarletGirl.com.

While it is probably ok to bring a glass or 100% silicone toy from one relationship to the next (because they are non-porous, and can be disinfected by boiling), I wouldn't.

It's not just the psychological "dirt" left behind, jelly plastic materials are not so easy to completely disinfect. Plus, part of the fun of a new partner is choosing new toys together.

And, I don't know about you, but I'm not sure I would feel comfortable either bringing one of my toys into a new situation, and I damn sure wouldn't want someone to whip out his own history-suffused toys with me.

Happy Humping!

Dan, you know Claire is always going to say something along the lines of "Your sex toy couldn't possibly be the problem! ...Unless you'd like to buy this newer model?" You always publish her advice then and laugh at her bias, but you're the one who calls on her to answer questions she couldn't possibly have unbiased answers to. What's going on here, are you running out of ways to pay your tab at Babeland? ; )
