One thing we do know for certain is that Fred Trump was guilty of decades of racial discrimination in housing, a practice that continued when his son Donald took over the family business. We do know that.
I don't about this sins of the father business, but the crimes of the father were definitely passed on to the son.
Since Republicans label pretty much anything as "woke" and/or "Marxist" these days, Cadet Bonespur's label is meaningless. His base will eat it up because they don't understand shit and aren't curious to, you know...learn something new. They called Biden a "radical liberal" too.
Dipshits who already drank the Kool-Aid will stay where they are and a segment of of dumber undecideds might be moved by the "Marxist" label. But even the dumb ones might be moved in the other direction by aaaaaaaaaall of the other unhinged and stupid shit he said (and has been saying for years).
As @4 said, VP Harris seems estranged from her father. He wasn't at the DNC. She never talks about him. He doesn't talk about her. I'd guess he's a dick.
Her parents divorced when she was 8, and left the Bay Area to work elsewhere, so it's unlikely he taught her much Marx.
But, as MFer demonstrates daily, we're now post-truth. The slander gets around the world before the facts gets its pants on. A co-worker told me that she was a Communist the day that Biden dropped out.
Thanks to the Nazi's Cultural Bolshevism conspiracy theory being dusted off and given a fresh coat of paint, I've seen everything from the idea of a 15 minute city to the presence of non-white characters in video games called communist/Marxist online. Trump knows the special incantation that casts the "enrage" spell on his target demographic.
@8 & @9 - Anytime a Black, Latino, or person of color political figure didn't follow the status-quo/Republican agenda, they were always branded a communist or marxist. It's just another racist trope. Basically "she's black"... They used that shit against Obama after the last Fidel Castro complimented America for electing a black person.
Apre_moi dear, I am almost sixty years old, and I remember when calling someone a Communist was a joke, because the whole system had been so thoroughly debunked, and the "red scare" had been such an overwrought, hysteria-ridden farce (as most right-wing things tend to be). It even made its way up to Seattle with the Canwell hearings on the "threat" the communists posed to the UW.
With no countries actually practicing communism, it's hard to even really define it anymore. China is certainly not Communist, despite their posings, and North Korea is just a joke (a joke with Nukes, unfortunately). The only place it's ever even remotely worked is some cloistered religious orders.
So yes, when the topic of communism rises, I slap it down. Don't bring that garbage around me, especially if one has no idea what one is talking about.
If only Harris had answered Trump in the moment by saying, "No, my father is not a Marxist, he's a post-Keynesian. I can't believe a Wharton grad like you doesn't know the difference."
Just imagine the discussion that would have sparked in the media! Middle America might have actually learned a thing or two about the field. Hopefully she'll get another opportunity.
It doesn't matter so much who Harris' father is/was. What matters is who she is: a puppet for the military industrial complex and CIA, and on track to start a nuclear and 3rd world war with Russia (and of course, China). See one of her latest commercials:
@14: communism (little 'c') was purely theoretical, yes. And never existed in any real form. Communism, (capital 'C') as advertised by COMINTERN and then the USSR wasn't that funny. Particularly for the people who had to live under its influence.
'But that wasn't real Communism' belies the fact that it was sold as such to the useful idiots.

Another great article about the Judean People's Front.
@2 You mean another article you lack the intelligence and prerequisites to understand.
Isn't a marxist. He's still very much alive, but seemingly estranged from his daughter.
Republicans are horrible people.

Max dear, I hope you laughed in your co-worker's face and asked them if they knew what a Communist is.

@9 Um... Someone who takes facts from people based on their expertise and distributes ones I don't like to people based on their need for knowledge?
