A woman and a socialist are competing to replace a black man as President.
And a vulgar, lying bigot of a yam is playing out his own ego's narcissistic agenda to its logical conclusion.
Just amazing.
I'll bet that the "Founding Fathers" would be completely gob-smacked by the current situation. (Internet and pocket computers notwithstanding).

Can they stop calling it "the party of Lincoln" already? It's the "party of Nixon", in all sorts of ways. The asshole won 4 national elections, damn near 5. The past two Republican administrations have been littered with Nixonistas. They can talk about Reagan all they want, but Tricky Dick is the real hero they worship.

I doubt this is much of a principled stand. He's in the fight of his life for his Senate seat in a blue state that only elected him because of a dumbass governor's shenanigans after Obama won. He's getting his ass handed to him by a female veteran who lost her legs in Iraq.

Nah, Kirk does at least have principles and decency. Is he feeling a political pinch? Probably, but this is entirely in character for him.
I do like him, but I hope Duckworth wins the election.
