Rob McKenna is uniformly and regularly granted zero respect from his peers. I've sat through many of his guest speeches to rooms full of attorneys for charity and such; never have a seen a speaker more roundly ignored, even when he repeatedly asks to be listened to. Almost every table chats right though his whole talk. At these things I've genuinely felt embarrassed for the guy. Not sure why, or if he deserves the disrespect, but goddamn the dude has negative traction among his own, and definitely not all of them democrats ...

@1 - I’ve been to one of his talks and everyone seemed very attentive and engaged. I guess some audiences are more respectful than others.
