Theatre Off Jackson Chinatown-International District
Thursdays-Saturdays. Continues through March 1 2014
SPF stands for "solo performance festival" and the number eight refers to the number of years ToJ has been producing it. Performances this year include: Mark Murray in CODA, about growing up as a hearing child with deaf parents; Yana Kesala in I Think My Heart Needs Glasses, about a silent meditative retreat; James Judd in Killer Quack, a true-crime story about a doctor who's not a doctor; Madeline Burrows in MOM BABY GOD, which examines a girl's journey to womanhood as a member of the anti-abortion movement. On Fri Feb 14, there will be a program of five shorts.
