You probably think of Our Town as a dusty old play that says nothing to you about your life. You’re wrong. This Strawberry Theatre Workshop production proves it. Amy Thone, one of the greatest actors currently living, plays the stage manager. The stage is a brand-new space within 12th Avenue Arts, and the set is made out of leftover construction detritus. And young Seattle actors Joe Cummings and Anastasia Higham, as George and Emily, are jaw-droppingly good. Strangers on Twitter have been tweeting at me asking me if I’ve seen it, that’s how good it is. Yes, I’ve seen it. Yes, I’m seeing it again.
