Thu., Jan. 26, 7:30 p.m. 2017 All Ages

The UW and Seattle Symphonies will play separately, conducted by David Alexander Rahbee and Ludovic Morlot respectively: the first piece is Beethoven's Lenore Overture; the second, Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1 in C minor, with soloists Kevin Ahfat and Gabriel Palmer. Then, the two bodies meld into one super-orchestra and bang out two more pieces: Berlioz's Judges of the Secret Court overture and Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man. Join these two institutions for a night of Romantic, classical, and modern music.
