The Henry will screen films that explore the darkness—reflections of madness, colonialism, or oppression—of world cinema. The last film, Sergey Paradjanov's The Color of Pomegranates , was banned by the Soviets for its noncompliance with socialist realist aesthetics. It portrays the life of the poet Sayat Nova.
