The Grateful Dead Movie: 40th Anniversary

Various locations (map) Across Seattle
Thu., April 20, 7 p.m. 2017

Dave Segal aptly wrote, "No band in the history of music has more maniacal, documentation-drunk fans than the Grateful Dead." Celebrate the stoner holiday with some of those fans at this screening of The Grateful Dead Movie, a 1977 production co-directed by Jerry Garcia and Leon Gast that features live performances from a five-night series at Winterland in San Francisco. You can even quench your documentation thirst with an additional mini-doc about the Dead's famous Barton Hall concert at Cornell. Deadheads will gather at the U District's Varsity Theatre, Lincoln Square Cinemas in Bellevue, and at Thornton Place up north.
