Have you ever thought about how weird things will be for the aliens or future civilizations tasked with unearthing artifacts from the early 21st century? When the internet is long gone, what will the material hints at its former ubiquity even look like? Hypomnemata is a group show that examines this question by means of various modes of inquiry. Featured artists Rindon Johnson, Ed Steck, Robert Joseph Sandler, Holly Melgard, Joey Yearous-Algozin, Somnath Bhatt, and Maya Martinez are poets, designers, dancers, and visual artists working at the intersection of digital culture and embodied experience. The results are, in the words of curator Barrett White, "remnants of a speculative archaeology, a future ruin."
