"Celebrating 75 Years of Jimi Hendrix, an exhibit featured at Douglass-Truth Library, presents a bold, colorful, and captivating overview of the music icon’s life and legacy. Images showcased in the display highlight pivotal moments throughout Jimi’s life and career in the performing arts. Replicas of his most notable guitars, articles of clothing, renderings of his original art work, and countless artifacts give visitors an opportunity to experience aspects of the artist’s life and career from a close and personal vantage point. Jimi Hendrix, the lyricist, poet, musician, and the man are introduced through memorabilia in this museum quality display. The exhibit also offers a vibrant, emotional tribute revolving around his most celebrated life events and a legacy that has shaped modern pop culture.
