History Café: Preserving Neighborhood Stories through Oral History

Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) South Lake Union
Wed., Jan. 17, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 2018

Find out about the history of the Central District, the only part of Seattle where black people could rent or own property, whose residents flourished artistically and socially despite prejudice and institutional disadvantages. The event will also encompass talks by current CD residents and an introduction to two oral history projects that seek to preserve the neighborhood's story.
