In the late ’80s and through the ’90s, when Buffalo Tom were most active, I totally ignored them. Dumb, I know, but they were playing concurrently with what folks were calling “grunge,” they had seemingly big-budget videos, and were on college radio, so they weren’t exactly my thing. That said, I’ve since corrected my gaffe and come to enjoy these fellers’ earnest and crafted rock and roll. Now they’re touring in support of their first LP in seven years, Quiet and Peace; the first single, "Roman Cars,” is good and sounds like classic Buffalo Tom.
