Go Fever, Salt Lick, Coach Phillips
"Go Fever, fronted by Australian singer-songwriter Acey Monaro with Keith Lough (guitar), Ben Burdick (bass) Jim Campo (guitar, keys), Anna Roenigk (keys and harms) and Stijn Dobbelaere (drums), have just finished recording their sophomore album. Daydream Hawker, a 5 track EP recorded at Public Hi-Fi, Austin, engineered by Brad Bell (War On Drugs) and mixed by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gruff Rhys, Perfume Genius), will be released February 1st 2019. Lyrically, the tracks explore themes of outsiderness, sex, mental health and a woman’s worth. And love, duh. Their sound is influenced by late 70’s New Wave but their contemporary references range from Alvvays to Neko Case. One DJ described the band as 'the middle ground between Courtney Barnett and Tennis.' Their eponymous debut LP was independently released in February 2017 and pushed its way onto the North American College and Community Top 20 Adds Chart." (Promo Copy)
