UW music professor and violist Melia Watras will present the world premiere of her Folk Style Project, a collection of 13 songs inspired by different parts of her life and composed for various combinations of voices and instruments. Watras will be joined by Harry Partch Instrumentarium director Charles Corey, actor and director Sheila Daniels, actor José González, violinist Michael Jinsoo Lim, actor Rhonda J. Soikowski, cellist Sæunn Thorsteinsdóttir, and percussionist Bonnie Whiting.
