Scarecrow Video is far from lacking in a diverse collection of titles from across the globe, but they still have a list of highly lauded but seldom-seen films they wish they had in stock. Thanks to their quarterly spotlight Wishlist Collection, you can see essential touchstones of cinema (in this case, French cinema) you may not have seen before, this case Jean Grémillon's 1949 Pattes Blanches. This drama, co-written by the famous playwright Jean Anouilh, is a lyrical story about a doomed eccentric who falls for the wife of a saloon owner. Each screening will be followed by a discussion with the Alliance Française de Seattle.
