Engauge Presents: A 16mm Monument to Mekas
Engauge Experimental Film Festival plus EXcinema will present some of the avant-garde films of the New York underground titan Jonas Mekas (1922-2019), founder of Film Culture, the Filmmakers Co-op, and the Anthology Film Archive. The films offer glimpses of the Velvet Underground, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Allen Ginsburg, Mick and Jade Jagger, and many other mid-century luminaries. All will be screened on 16mm.
